1. Where a non-accepted bill of exchange, which is part of a set, is lost, the person entitled to its value may claim payment by virtue of one of its other copies. 2. Where a bill of exchange is drawn up in several copies and the part which bears the acceptance is lost, the payment thereof may not be claimed under one of the other copies, except with an order by the chief justice of the competent court, provided that a guarantor is provided.
