1. Where a commission agent who is assigned to sell grants the buyer, without the permission of the principal, is given a time limit for payment of the price or makes the price payable by installments, the principal may require the commission agent to pay the whole price immediately. In such case, the commission agent may retain for himself the price difference and its interests (if any). 2. Nevertheless, the commission agent may grant a time limit for payment of the price or make the price payable by installments, without the principal's permission, if it is the custom to do so at the area where the sale is effected, save where the principal's instructions bind the agent to effect the sale on an advance payment basis.
