1. Contract agency is an agreement under which the agent undertakes, on a continuing basis and within a particular area of activity, to seek and negotiate the conclusion of transactions for the benefit of the principal in return for remuneration. The agent's duties may include concluding and performing such transactions in the name and for the account of the principal. 2. The contract-agency agreement shall be in writing and shall state, in particular, the scope of the agency, the agent's remuneration, the area of activity, the term of the agreement if it is for a fixed term, and the trademark of the commodity covered by the agency, if any.
