Book Two: Nominate Contracts · Section Five: Suretyship Contract · Chapter Two: Effects of the Suretyship Contract

1. The surety's liability shall be released to the extent of the value of the securities lost by the creditor. 2. Securities are intended to mean any security allocated to guarantee the debt, even if established after the suretyship, and any security established by law.
