Import ban on specified fish species from Dhaka, Bangladesh

Until the cause is removed and a further decision is issued, prohibits imports from the Dhaka region, Bangladesh, of fish species listed in chapter 2.3.1 of the WOAH Manual and their products, derivatives and waste. Made under the Veterinary Quarantine Law 45/2004, its Executive Regulation 107/2008, the competent veterinary authority's recommendation and the public interest. The Decision is published in the Official Gazette and applies from the day following publication.

Scope and exclusions

Applies to

Fish species in chapter 2.3.1 of the WOAH Manual and related products, derivatives and waste from the Dhaka region.

Limitations and exclusions

Does not cover products, derivatives and waste treated or heat-processed in accordance with the WOAH Aquatic Animal Health Code. It does not replace other sanitary, veterinary, customs, permit or documentary requirements; later decisions require separate review.
