Subject to the provisions of Article (124) of this Law, any violation of the provisions of the sentence of a criminal measure shall be punished by incarceration for a period not exceeding one year or by a fine not exceeding (5,000) five thousand AED. The court may, in lieu of imposing the penalty prescribed in the preceding paragraph, extend the period of the measure for a period not exceeding half of the sentenced period and shall not, in any case, exceed (3) three years, or replace it by any of the other measures stipulated in the preceding Chapter.
