1.An assertory oath is an oath taken by a litigant to refute his opposing party's claim, and the litigant may administer the assertory oath to his opposing party pursuant to the provisions set out in this Part. 2.A suppletory oath is an oath taken by a litigant to complete evidence. A suppletory oath may not be administered to the opposing party pursuant to the provisions set out in this Part.
