1. In all cases, the legal proceeding shall be time-barred with the lapse of one year following the date of the last valid procedure performed in connection therewith, and the prescription of legal proceeding shall result in the same effects that result from its abatement. 2. The provision of the foregoing paragraph shall not apply to the challenge by way of cassation.
