New section 716A prohibits an ADGM company from issuing bearer shares or any warrant, certificate or other instrument that transfers share rights by delivery or possession alone without registration in the register of members. Any purported issue is null and void. A bearer share is defined by membership, dividend or voting entitlement determined solely by possession of a document rather than registration of the member's name.
