07

Employee and contractor IP

An employment or services contract must specify created IP, background IP, moral rights treatment, inventions, assistance with filing, confidentiality and return of materials. Payment for a service in itself does not always convey the full scope of rights.

For an international team

Assignment is verified by the law of the country of the creator and by the law of the object; a single English phrase may not be sufficient.

08

Licensing and intragroup IP

License defines object, territory, field, exclusivity, sublicense, quality control, royalties, audit and termination. Quality control is especially important for a trade mark; for technology - updates, support and improvements.

Scope
Rights, versions, products, customers, channels and territory
Economics
Royalty base, currency, tax, WHT/VAT and transfer pricing
Control
Brand standards, approval, audit and infringement handling
Improvements
Who owns modifications, feedback and derivative works
Exit
Sell-off, transition, data/code return and surviving clauses

09

Digital enforcement begins with registered rights and evidence of infringement. Platform complaints, domain strategy, takedown, test purchase and preservation of pages, ads, seller data and payments are being prepared.

Domains
Core domains, Arabic variants, renewals and registrar security

Brand registry, authorized sellers and repeat-infringer workflow
Evidence

Fraud
Fake profiles, phishing, impersonation and payment diversion
Escalation
